Angelina Jolie Voight was born on the 4th of July 1975, daughter of John Voight which she renounced and had her name legally changed to Jolie in court after attempts to rekindle her relationship with her father failed. She started out in the modeling business with many major roles in movies that did not quite make it to the top. Her breaking out films were the Lara Croft movies “Tomb Raider” which many claim as a part she was born to play. Her present live in partner Pitt was her co-star in the hit “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” the movie about a couple who work for different security agencies as assassins which was said to have initiated their still standing relationship. She does charity work and represents the UN Refugee Agency where she plays a Goodwill Ambassador representing people who are displaced by conflict and many other disasters. Her first film role was in 1999 when she auditioned and got a role to the satirical film Drop Dead Gorgeous which was filmed in Minnesota where she was living at the time. She moved to LA when she was cast in Fox’s “Cruel Intentions”. She has appeared in many TV films including, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, “Charmed”, “Smallville” and many others. Though she has a small following her being a multi-awarded actress with her limited performances has her a face to see in movies which she has 3 for this year with another two lined up for 2009.
